Carolyn Cooper was born and raised in Michigan, where she earned the Chancellor and Alumni Merit Scholarships from University of Michigan. She has extensive supervisory experience in the accounting and financial reporting field to include Chief Financial Officer for a non-profit organization in South-Eastern Michigan and standing up the organization, Cigar Grotto Gives Back, inc.
She was elected to serve on the regional board for Homeland Security’s Citizen Corps Council, where she wrote several grants, maintained regional record-keeping, and successfully implemented new programs throughout the county. She moved from Michigan to southern California in December of 2007. Carolyn is married to MSgt Jason Cooper, USMC (Ret.), and they are proud parents to six children. Prior to retiring in 2011, Carolyn was also the Financial Controller for Sage Harbor and WJ Commercial Enterprises in Encinitas, CA. She now resides in Kentucky, on a farm with her family.
